BILOXI, Miss. (5/29/15)--The Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame added six new members recently, bestowing the state’s top credit union honor on individuals who have devoted their lives to the philosophy and success of credit unions.
“The Hall of Fame is our way of highlighting the achievements and showing thanks to those who worked throughout their life to strengthen the credit union movement in Mississippi,” said Mississippi Credit Union Association President/CEO Charles Elliott.
The inductions took place at the Mississippi Credit Union Association’s annual meeting earlier this month in Biloxi, Miss.
The association also elected new board members at the annual meeting.
Elected to three year-terms were Katie Nelson, manager/CEO, Mississippi Postal Employees FCU, Jackson; Kathy Scarbrough, chief communications officer, Navigator CU; Ray Scott, director, Southern Mississippi FCU, Hattiesburg; and Bo Pittman, president/CEO, MUNA FCU, Meridian.
The board’s officers are:
Rounding out the board are Shelia Bridges, president/CEO, MBHS FCU, Jackson; Elmer Dickens, director, Gulf Coast Community FCU; Chris Hammond, president/CEO, Central Sunbelt FCU, Laurel; retired Brig. Gen. Richard Moss, director, Keesler FCU; and Steve Pollman, president/CEO, Magnolia FCU, Jackson.
