ALEXANDRIA, Va. (7/6/15)--Minority and women-owned enterprises interested in federal contracting businesses will have access to a number of resources at an upcoming event hosted by the National Credit Union Administration and other federal regulators.
The technical assistance event is scheduled for Aug. 12 in Arlington, Va.
The seven-hour session will offer information and networking opportunities to help businesses respond to federal contracting propects, and will include presentations on the basics of government contracting, federal proposal writing and successful collaboration.
The NCUA’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion is partnering on the event with similar offices in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve board of governors, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of the Treasury, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Federal Housing Finance Agency and Securities and Exchange Commission.
The agencies also are working in collaboration with the Northern Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
The event is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ET) Aug. 21, and will take place Founders Hall on the George Mason University Arlington Campus.
