WASHINGTON (7/22/15, UPDATED 7:34 a.m. ET)--Senate Banking Committee Chair Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) is widely expected to attach financial services regulatory relief language to an appropriations bill that is scheduled for a subcommittee vote today.
As reported by The Hill late Tuesday, Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.) may include Shelby's proposals in the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill.
It is expected that the legislation will be substantially similar to Shelby’s bill, the Financial Regulatory Improvement Act of 2015, which passed his committee with a 12-10 vote along party lines in May. Watch News Now for details.
