PHILADELPHIA (8/14/15)--During its 17th annual conference in Philadelphia, the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) selected Tim Anderson, president/CEO of Government Printing Office FCU, Washington, D.C., as the national organization’s new chair.
Also during the AACUC annual meeting, Rich Meade, CUNA’s chief operating officer/chief of staff, updated the attendees on CUNA’s work and priorities and expressed CUNA’s desire to work more collaboratively with the coalition.
As the new chair, Anderson succeeds Lynette Smith, president/CEO, Washington Gas Light FCU, Springfield, Va., who completed a two-year term.
Anderson, who previously served as AACUC’s treasurer, will be the eighth chair to lead the organization.
Also at the AACUC annual meeting, the membership elected one new board member: Adrian S. Johnson, senior vice president/chief financial officer, MECU of Baltimore Inc.
