MADISON, Wis. (8/27/15)--The National Credit Union Foundation has opened registration for 2016’s first two Credit Union Development Education (DE) training sessions.
Registration is available for the Jan. 13-20 session in Dallas and the May 18-25 training in Madison, Wis. Only 42 attendees are allowed per class.
“DE training has been a life-changing experience for me,” said Karen Viets, CEO/treasurer of Metropolitan District Employees’ CU, Hartford, Conn. “It has rekindled a passion and prepared me to share it with others.”
The six-day total immersion experience provides attendees the opportunity to learn about credit unions’ social responsibility and domestic and international credit union development.
This year’s final training session is Sept. 9-16 and has been sold out since spring.
The registration fee includes all training materials as well as meals and seven nights of single-room lodging. Scholarships may be available from state credit union leagues or foundations, in addition to the national foundation's scholarship.
