COLUMBUS, Ohio (9/11/15)--Credit unions and their public relations officers throughout the nation have more competition for news space in their local media these days. The Ohio Credit Union League has offered tips to help credit unions get reporters’ attention.
Ohio has more than 6,000 individuals in Ohio with careers in public relations at a time when newspapers are downsizing and merging (eLumination Sept. 10). “Getting earned-media attention is harder than ever before,” said the league. “Traditional press kits and printed press releases are no longer enough to get the media attention you want.”
