HARRISBURG, Pa. (9/15/15)--The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s (PCUA) Fall Leadership Conference, held Thursday through Saturday, included national motivational speakers and a chairman’s challenge to help credit unions’ advocacy efforts.
PCUA Board Chairman Louise Lingenfelser said that a healthy political action committee will help candidates who support credit union issues. “We need the cooperative spirit to achieve this goal (Life is a Highway Sept. 14).
During the conference, held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, state credit union leaders heard motivational presentations from:
Two breakout sessions Friday addressed financial reality fairs and board governance, said PCUA. Attendees also participated in a Solutions SnapChat, where attendees would switch tables every ten minutes to meet with a new round of business opportunities.
Other speakers included PCUA’s 2015 Youth Ambassador, Sara Newell, and comedian Billy Elmer.
