ONTARIO, Calif. (9/18/15)--Two California credit union CEOs will join the Western CUNA Management School (WCMS) Board of Trustees in January: John Janclaes, president/CEO of Anaheim-based Partners FCU and Eileen Rivera, president/CEO of Hawthorne-based SkyOne FCU.
Janclaes and Rivera will replace outgoing board members Orange County’s CU President/CEO Shruti Miyashiro and Redwood CU President/CEO Brett Martinez. Miyashiro’s and Martinez’s board terms expire in December.
Janclaes has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, including retail banking, brokerage and insurance. Before joining Partners FCU, he served in executive roles for 14 years at Logix FCU (formerly Lockheed FCU). He regularly speaks at industry events and acts in an advisory capacity to several national organizations, including CUNA. He is a recipient of the James D. Likens Alumni award.
Rivera has been with SkyOne FCU for 28 years, including 23 as president/CEO, and worked seven years at Xerox FCU (now Xceed Financial). She is a member of the California Credit Union League board and served as chairman in 2011. Rivera also is on the RMJ Foundation board and is chairman of the Credit Unions for Kids Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The board is comprised of nine credit union CEOs, two league presidents, the WCMS president and the WCMS provost. It oversees and directs the school.
