DES MOINES, Iowa (9/24/15)--The Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) honored six credit union representatives, with more than 175 years of experience among them, at the Iowa Credit Union Convention on Sept. 16-18 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Larry Ketelsen, board member of Ascemtra CU, Bettendorf, received the 2015 Heritage Award for demonstrating extraordinary commitment, service and leadership in the credit union movement.
Gregg Liddle, former executive vice president risk management and chief security officer, Dupaco Community CU, Dubuque, and Helen Pearce, president/CEO, Cedar Falls (Iowa) Community CU, were presented with 2015 Professional Cooperative Spirit Awards in recognition of their outstanding service, commitment and leadership in the credit union movement.
Gene Haigh, board member, Polk County Schools Employees CU, Urbandale, and Tom DeLong, board member, Veridian CU, Waterloo were awarded 2015 Volunteer Cooperative Spirit Awards for exemplifying the spirit of the credit union industry and the communities credit unions serve.
Matt Bailey, director of compliance at Linn Area CU, Cedar Rapids, is the recipient of the 2015 Young Professional of the Year Award for demonstrating the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” every day through hard work, dedication and volunteerism.
