HARRISBURG, Pa., and HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. (12/22/15)--An identity-theft protection service from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA) is now available to New Jersey credit unions through a new agreement between PCUA and the New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL).
NJCUL and its service corporation, Professional Service Group of New Jersey, will offer credit unions and their members the Sherpa Identity Protection service.
PCUA launched Sherpa in April to provide identity theft protection and restoration services.
“Sherpa is a great tool for New Jersey credit unions to offer members in order to help them monitor and protect their personal and financial information, and even restore it if it is compromised,” said Linda McFadden, NJCUL board chair and president/CEO, XCEL FCU, Bloomfield, N.J.
“Identity theft has been well documented as one of the big financial concerns facing consumers,” said Patrick Conway, PCUA president/CEO. “With Sherpa, consumers can enjoy the peace of mind that their personal information is being closely monitored, and that if a breach occurs, Sherpa will be there to restore their good name.”
