ALEXANDRIA, Va. (1/26/16)--As part of the launch of its Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) Registry, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) will host a Feb. 11 webinar on how to use the system.
The learning session will begin at 2:30 p.m. (ET) and an online registration page for the webinar will be available soon. There will be no charge.
The CUSO registration period begins Monday, Feb. 1, and ends Thursday, March 31. There is no fee to use the registry. CUSOs can access the registry at http://go.usa.gov/cPcy5. (See News Now: CUSOs must register with NCUA between Feb. 1, March 31.)
The NCUA will provide additional support material and customer support when the system goes live on Feb. 1.
As part of NCUA’s enhanced CUSO rule approved by the agency in November 2013, federally insured credit unions are responsible for ensuring the CUSOs they make loans to or invest in agree to provide certain information directly to NCUA. In the event a CUSO fails to register, credit unions may not make additional investments or loans to the CUSO until the registration requirement is met.
