WASHINGTON (2/26/16)--When an advocacy army of nearly 5,000 credit union activists left the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) Wednesday, they took with them a strong message and delivered it with a powerful voice.
“I want you to talk about the credit union difference because it makes a difference,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, sending the advocates off to their Capitol Hill visits. He also advised attendees not to stop with this week’s advocacy efforts—and to remember their activist role the other 51 weeks of the year.
A #CUdifference campaign, launched by Nussle at CUNA GAC, has inspired credit union members, staff and other advocates to share their stories--in 15-second video snippets--across all social media platforms.
And, in case you missed it, daily videos--a new feature of CUNA GAC coverage--captured the energy and enormity of the credit union movement’s premier event. See them here:
Photo galleries and articles covering nearly every aspect of the conference--including Hike the Hill visits, keynote speakers, and policymaker presentations--are available on the dedicated news page: news.cuna.org/gac.
