PASADENA, Calif. (3/11/16)--Expecting a sleepy Sunday after losing an hour to daylight saving time? To combat the time change effect, Wescom CU is picking up the tabs for early-rising visitors at 19 locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
This is the second year the Pasadena, Calif.-based credit union is hosting the Wake Up with Wescom daylight saving time event as part of its #WescomKindness campaign.
“There’s no better time for a wakeup call than daylight saving time and we hope to make it a little easier for Southern Californians,” said Deena Otto, senior vice president of administration. “This Sunday, we’re simply helping people start their day out right by treating them to a special morning beverage and breakfast.”
Each of the 19 locations will receive $2,000 from Wescom to pay food and beverage bills--up to $15 per transaction--starting the moment the doors open.
“Seeing the reactions to Wescom’s generosity when our guests find out their bill has been paid inevitably brightens everyone’s day,” said Adam Tabachnikoff, senior vice president of global strategy for The Coffee Bean.
