TAMPA, Fla. (3/18/16)--CSCU announced the introduction of a new digital card application that facilitates issuer-branded apps from credit unions.
The app’s features include balance and transaction alerts, card management and controls such as location match and real-time card suspension.
“Cardholders are increasingly mobile, and digital capabilities are playing an important role in their choice of financial services providers,” said CSCU President Bob Hackney.
The app complements a credit union’s digital strategy to increase member loyalty and payments-based revenues on Android devices, such as Samsung phones, CSCU said.
“Since 46 percent of smartphone owners say their phone is something ‘they couldn’t live without,’ we’re providing them with the ability to manage their cards on the device they increasingly use the most,” said Tom Davis, CSCU senior vice president of finance and technology.
The CSCU digital card app will be offered to CSCU members in late 2016. The credit union service organization focuses on its more than 2,300 member credit unions whose cards utilize the FIS card processing platforms.
CSCU also announced that NASA astronaut Capt. Scott Kelly will be the keynote speaker at its 2016 Solutions Conference, set for April 20–23 in Orlando, Fla.
