CUNA will hold the 2016 Supervisory Committee and Internal Audit Conference Dec. 4-7 in Las Vegas. Unique for its focus on credit union oversight issues, the conference provides supervisory committee members and internal auditors with insights, strategies, and best practices.
“CUNA Supervisory Committee and Internal Audit Conference is an excellent opportunity to get an auditing education and a summary of activities regarding the current year,” said past attendee Jim Hicks, supervisory committee chair, Meriwest CU, San Jose, Calif. “In addition, we are exposed to an overview of future situations.”
The conference consists of three days of sessions that examine trends and offer actionable solutions to current challenges facing the supervisory and internal auditing fields. By completing specifically identified sessions, attendees can also earn credits toward the Certified Credit Union Volunteer designation.
Two pre-conference workshops will be held at the conference: Supervisory Committee Fundamentals Workshop on Dec. 3-4, and Leveraging the Alignment of Risk and Internal Audit to Improve Organizational Performance on Dec. 4.
