CUNA Technology Council and CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council have announced that their annual conferences will be jointly hosted at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Sept. 28-Oct. 1.
Based around the theme of “Creating New Connections,” both conferences will offer informative sessions, high-impact speakers and awards ceremonies celebrating the finest achievements in their respective fields.
“This year’s theme refers to more than just peer networking,” said Guy Russo, chair of CUNA Technology Council and chief information officer at CommunityAmerica CU, Lenexa, Kansas. “The enlightening sessions we have planned will enable attendees to create new connections between their roles, their credit unions’ goals, and the industry as a whole, becoming more informed, effective credit union professionals in the process.”
The conferences will host breakout sessions focused on specific technology, operations, sales and service topics, as well as a special pre-conference workshop on The Ultimate Zappos Experience. Bookending the conference will be two general sessions for all attendees: a keynote presentation by futurist and Tomorrow CEO Mike Walsh, and a closing session by award-winning speaker Mike Rayburn.
The 2016 CUNA Technology Council Awards and CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council Awards will also be presented from the main stage. The former will present the CUNA Excellence in Technology Awards, celebrating diverse areas of achievement in credit union technology such as infrastructure, information security and member service. CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council will present its Excellence Awards, as well as its Professional of the Year Award.
