Thirty credit union professionals received the Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CUBLP) designation at the 2016 CUNA Business Lending Certification School, held July 18-22 in Madison, Wis.
“With the NCUA about to transform the business lending landscape with their upcoming rule change, the need for business lending education couldn’t be more urgent,” said Kathy Smith, CUNA instructional design manager. “In earning the CUBLP designation, these professionals have mastered credit union business lending at a time when its opportunities are overflowing.”
CUNA Business Lending Certification School is a three-year professional development program that provides a comprehensive business lending education. Students begin by building a foundation of essential business lending concepts and practices in Year 1, then progress to credit analysis in Years 2 and 3. Upon completing all three years of the program, students are able to test for the CUBLP designation.
The 2017 CUNA Business Lending Certification School is scheduled for July 24-27, 2017 in Madison.
