The World Council of Credit Unions has released a mobile app that allows credit union people to connect and share information with their peers worldwide.
“We understand that people have limited time and money to attend conferences and dig through the internet for information,” said Brian Branch, World Council president/CEO. “That is why we created the WOCCU app: to bring credit union professionals to a space where they can network and drive the conversations that need to happen to advance the movement.”
Credit union professionals can create a profile through social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. They then earn points by sharing articles, pictures, and comments. They can also follow their peers and send messages to each other directly through the World Council app.
The app is available on Google Play and iTunes.
The app includes a topics area addressing big questions facing the credit union movement such as payment technology, attracting youth and market disruptors. The topics will change as what matters most to the movement changes over time.
Participants gain points for every article, picture, comment and question they post. The top user as of Dec. 31 will win a free conference registration to the 2017 World Credit Union Conference in Vienna, Austria.
