CUNA will host a webinar on recent changes to EMV, the technological standard for chip credit and debit cards, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. (CT). The webinar will be led by representatives of VISA, one of the companies that created the standard and a participant in EMVCo, the consortium that manages the technology.
“VISA is the perfect partner for this webinar because they bring a first-hand knowledge of the EMV standard that few other companies can,” said Lance Noggle, CUNA senior director of advocacy. “They will provide attendees with a complete rundown of how the standard is evolving and what it means for credit unions on an operational level.”
The EMV Update webinar will address the key developments that have occurred with the technology since the October 2015 liability shift. Along with the recent changes in liability and chargeback processes, you’ll hear an analysis of how these changes impact risk assessment, accounting and payment systems.
Attendance is free for all CUNA member credit unions, but registration is required.
