Forty-three attendees earned the Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP) designation at CUNA Investment Certification Schools, held Aug. 5-10 in Chicago.
“The CCUIP designation carries with it a comprehensive knowledge of credit union investment strategies that lead to optimal value creation and growth,” said James Carrick, CUNA vice president of learning events. “These CCUIPs have equipped themselves with an expertise that will enable them to improve their credit unions’ financials and move their careers forward.”
CUNA Investment Certification Schools includes two parts. Fundamentals of Investment Management covers basic securities options for credit unions, key regulations, and a 5-step approach to speculation. Advanced Investment Strategies examines the underlying mathematical principles governing investments and presents a complete analytical framework for credit union investment.
By completing both schools, attendees were eligible to test for the CCUIP designation.
The 2017 CUNA Investments Certification Schools will be held Sept. 11-15 in Chicago.
