More than 300 credit unions “went casual for kids” during this year’s Miracle Jeans Day event to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals nationwide.
Credit Union employees donated $5 to wear jeans as part of the annual event. Additionally, some employees contributed an additional $25 to receive a free Miracle Jeans Day T-shirt designed especially for the event.
Credit unions traditionally are the largest contributor among Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals corporate partners. All CMN Hospitals donations stay in the community in which the money was raised. The funds support each hospital’s greatest needs, which include life-saving research, treatments, equipment and charitable care. The funds raised help to light the way in helping sick children and their parents navigate through stormy days.
The next CU4Kids campaign on the schedule is Shop for Miracles which will be celebrated on International Credit Union Day, Oct. 20.
Credit Unions for Kids, in cooperation with local credit unions, have worked with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to make hard times easier for sick children and their parents since 1996. In that time, more than $150 million has been raised. The much-needed funds come from collaboration with local credit union chapters, industry leagues/associations, and their business partners to contribute to the health of children in the 156 CMN Hospitals throughout the United States
