The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council has opened submissions for its 2017 annual awards.
The 2017 Diamond Awards recognize exceptional marketing projects, campaigns and initiatives that demonstrate creative excellence and outstanding results.
“In addition to the prestige, the Diamond Awards give marketing innovators a platform to show new ways to connect with consumers,” said Amber Scott, Diamond Awards chair and vice president of marketing, 1st MidAmerica CU, Bethalto, Ill. “We encourage any marketer who has taken risks that paid off for their credit union to enter this year’s awards so we can share their breakthroughs with their peers and strengthen outreach throughout the movement.”
The Diamond Awards recognize 30 categories of marketing achievement, including commercial video; complete campaign; cutting edge; logos; multifaceted; one-time event; ongoing event; re-brand/new corporate identity; video; and website. Winners are decided by a panel of industry experts based on five key factors: strategy and results, creativity, design and production, copy and communication; and results.
Recipients of the Diamond Awards will be notified Feb. 13, and will have the chance to receive their awards at CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference, March 29-April 1.
CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council is also accepting submissions for its 2017 Recognition Awards, which honor outstanding individuals and achievements in the fields of credit union marketing and business development. Nominations for the awards are due Jan. 20.
“What these awards recognize, specifically, are talented professionals whose efforts have grown and strengthened their credit unions’ businesses,” said Debra Trautman, recognition committee chair and vice president of corporate marketing for the Maine Credit Union League. “Anyone who has made a significant marketing or business development impact at their credit union should consider throwing their name in contention.”
