CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle is featured in the NCUA’s latest video, on how credit unions can use the agency’s diversity checklist to promote greater diversity and inclusion. The NCUA issued a voluntary diversity checklist in September.
“Diversity is an important priority for the Credit Union National Association, and for the entire credit union movement,” Nussle says in the video. “It’s the reason we work with the African American Credit Union Coalition, the network of Latino credit unions and professionals and work to promote women throughout leadership positions in our industry.”
The NCUA’s checklist is a voluntary self-assessment designed to establish a baseline for diversity and inclusion in the credit union systems.
The agency is encouraging credit unions, especially ones with at least 100 employees, to complete the self-assessment and return it to the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion Nov. 30.
