FOCUS Brands Inc. Group President Kat Cole will give the keynote address at the opening session of CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) Feb. 27 in Washington, D.C.

Cole’s business career began as a Hooters hostess at age 17. She worked her way up the corporate ladder and became vice president at age 26. In 2010, she left to become president of Cinnabon, and in 2015, Cole was promoted to become group president of FOCUS Brands Inc., Cinnabon’s parent company.
Cole is also renowned for her work connecting entrepreneurship to humanitarian impact. She is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and 1 of 8 leaders on the United Nations Global Entrepreneurs Council, a strategic advisory council designed to bring together successful, high-profile, entrepreneurs and thought leaders who are committed to finding innovative solutions to global problems.
In her presentation, Cole will delve into her experience in brand development and culture, recalling important lessons and providing valuable strategies on how credit unions can strengthen their brand and connect with their communities.
