Madison, Wis. (July 10, 2015) – CUNA has announced that it will begin CUNA Certified Financial Counselor Part 1 eSchool on August 4, 2015. The program empowers credit union professionals to provide helpful, comprehensive financial guidance to members and earn credit toward their Credit Union Certified Financial Counselors (CUCFC) designation.
“This program gives credit union employees a strong background for counseling, credit reports, money management bankruptcies, taxes and more,” says Shannon Tackett, financial counselor at Belvoir Federal Credit Union. “Many credit union employees could greatly benefit from this class, not just counselors.”
The eSchool combines webinar sessions, reading assignments and online practice activities to prepare students for the financial counseling examinations. The structure allows participants to learn at their own pace and style. This eSchool is a part of the CUNA Training Bundle to provide an affordable way to provide this information to multiple staff.
