State Employees CU, Raleigh, N.C. will join the Carolinas Credit Union League, it announced this week. The $33 billion asset credit union re-affiliated with CUNA last year.
“We are elated to have State Employees Credit Union back with us. SECU and its management staff have shown us through their voice and advocacy for credit unions across the country—large and small—that they are committed to the cooperative spirit and the common goal of credit union growth,” said league President/CEO John Radebaugh. “We look forward to working together again.”
CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle said he was pleased that State Employees CU is now fully engaged with the CUNA/league system.
“We’re thrilled to hear SECU has re-affiliated with the Carolinas Credit Union League, and look forward to having their voice as a part of CUNA and league efforts going forward,” Nussle said. “The credit union movement is at its best when we’re all working together on behalf of credit unions of all sizes to better serve our members and consumers, and increased engagement is always a step in the right direction.”
