The event will be Feb. 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club.
The keynote speaker for the event is Noel Poyo, president/CEO of the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders.
OAS Employees FCU, Washington, D.C., will also be honored with the Juntos Avanzamos designation.
OAS Employee FCU will be the second credit union in Washington, D.C., honored with the Juntos Avanzamos designation.
In 2016 during the NLCUP luncheon, District Government Employees FCU, Washington, D.C., received the designation.
The Juntos Avanzamos program is coordinated by the Cornerstone Credit Union League, Coopera and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.
Credit unions inducted into the Juntos Avanzamos program demonstrate their ability to serve the Hispanic marketplace by gearing up their operations, products, strategies for serving, and board/staff support relative to this initiative. They staff bilingual tellers, maintain a physical presence in the Hispanic community, and provide relevant products and access to affordable credit and financial education opportunities.
