In conjunction with Military Saves Week, the Defense Credit Union Council has released a new guide to help service members and their families navigate the military’s blended retirement system, which will begin in 2018. This 36-page, illustrated guide is among the very first guides to be published on the new retirement system. It explains the mechanics of the blended retirement system and offers practical information for making an informed decision between each retirement option.
Credit unions are encouraged to apply for the America Saves Designation of Savings Excellence. The designation recognizes credit unions that work hard to encourage people to save money during America and Military Saves Week.
America Saves will recognize exceptional financial institutions that go above and beyond to motivate individuals to save during America and Military Saves Week. America Saves will recognize these credit unions and banks at the America Saves National Savings Forum.
