Tracie Kenyon, president/CEO of the Montana Credit Union Network, has been recognized with the 2017 Eugene H. Farley League Leadership Award by the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL).
The award honors a league employee who demonstrates visionary leadership at the state and national levels.
Kenyon received the award at a reception held with credit union system leaders this week in conjunction with the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.
Kenyon is the immediate past chair of AACUL, treasurer of the Filene Research Institute, and chair of the National Credit Union Foundation’s Herb Wegner Award Committee.
Since joining the Montana Credit Union Network, Kenyon has created two collaborative businesses: Montana's Credit Unions for Community Development (MCUCD) in 2003 and the Montana Credit Union League Group Benefit Trust (the Trust) in 2007.
MCUCD, a 501(c)3, provides turnkey social mission programs through Montana's credit unions focused primarily on financial capability and asset building. The Trust provides credit union employee benefits such as health, life, and disability insurance through a self-funded, cooperative environment.
The Farley League Leadership Award was endowed by a contribution from Richard Heins, former CEO of CUNA Mutual Group, and named in honor of Gene Farley, former CEO of the Virginia Credit Union League, in recognition of his longtime leadership in the credit union movement.
