Both chambers of Congress are in session this week, and CUNA will be tracking a number of hearings of interest for credit unions.
CUNA plans to send a letter for the record for two separate hearings on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The letters will reinforce CUNA’s concerns with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which CUNA believes could negatively impact credit unions that need to contact members with important account information.
The first will be conducted by the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on communications and technology on the FCC’s budget, the second will be conducted by the Senate Commerce Committee on oversight of the agency. Both will take place Wednesday.
