The 2017 CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Certification Conference in partnership with the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS), will be held Nov. 12-15 in Las Vegas.
The event provides a thorough, current education on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws while providing attendees the opportunity to become certified as Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialists (BSACS).
CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Certification Conference is comprehensive, with expert-led sessions addressing both the fundamental provisions of the laws as well as high-level topics in cybercrime, anti-fraud and anti-money laundering (AML). Attendees who complete the required sessions will be able to test for the BSACS designation.
Two workshops will be held in conjunction with this conference. On Nov. 12, prior to the conference, is “Banking Marijuana – Too Big to Ignore,” which will examine the challenges and opportunities of providing financial services to the marijuana industry. Following the conference on Nov. 15 is “Enterprise Wide Threat Management,” which demonstrates how to implement an organizational approach to financial crime prevention and detection.
