Communication in the Exhibit Hall at the CUNA CFO Council Conference is a two-way street, say longtime vendors.
As often as they dispense information to attendees, vendors receive feedback and observations that shape their products and approaches.
"One of our priorities when we come to these conferences is to reach a broad audience with a relevant message," says Lori Azevedo, senior vice president at Kasasa. "We're also able to really learn what is new and groundbreaking in terms of the research that CUNA has provided, what the other vendors have to say, and what the CFOs have on their minds--how they're using a lot of the technology, the research, and their new strategies.
"Every year, we're able to learn something new and different and bring that information back to our organization."
Finance professionals who attend the conference value vendors who’ve established themselves through consistent appearances, which builds trust and relationships, says Scott Peters, associate partner at The Baker Group.
"We need to speak to the decision-makers--and that's what you find here," Peters says. "We've developed a lot of great business relationships here and a lot of great friendships here."
