CUNA engaged w/ regulatory, rulemaking hearings this week

The House and Senate are in Washington, D.C. this week, and CUNA is engaged in several hearings in both chambers.
In addition, CUNA is looking ahead to 2 Senate Banking Committee hearings scheduled for next week, one on Wells Fargo, one on Equifax.
This week’s hearings include:
Tuesday, 10 a.m. (ET): Senate Banking Committee hearing titled “Oversight of the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission;”
Tuesday 10 a.m. (ET): House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing titled “Recommendations of the Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking.” The hearing will examine the commission’s recommendation and how Congress can facilitate the creation of evidence-based policies, among other things;
Wednesday, 3 p.m. (ET): House Financial Services subcommittee on housing and insurance hearing titled “Overview of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program;”
Thursday, 9:30 a.m. (ET): Senate Banking Committee hearing, “Evaluating Sanctions Enforcement and Policy Options on North Korea: Administration Perspective;”
Thursday, 9:30 a.m. (ET): House Financial Services subcommittee on housing and insurance hearing on “Examining Insurance for Nonprofit Organizations;”
Thursday, 9:30 a.m. (ET)” House Judiciary subcommittee on regulatory reform, commercial and antitrust law hearing titled “Rulemakers Must Follow the Rules, Too: Oversight of Agency Compliance with the Congressional Review Act.”
