CUNA Vice President of Research and Policy Analysis Mike Schenk and Cooperative Credit Union Association President/CEO Paul Gentile, who chairs CUNA’s examination and supervision subcommittee, will be among the presenters at Wednesday’s NCUA budget briefing. The agency will livestream video of the briefing starting Wednesday at 2 p.m. (ET).
Schenk and Gentile were among the presenters at last year’s briefing, the first conducted by the agency since 2008. Among those items were examination improvements, a reduced budget and increase transparency.
CUNA has reviewed the proposed 2018-2019 budget, and believes the agency has addressed many issues CUNA previously raised, including reducing growth from the previous proposed budget, modernizing its operations and updating the examination process.
The NCUA board is expected to vote on the 2018-2019 budget at November’s board meeting.
