Small credit unions will have the opportunity to win one of two full scholarships to the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C., through a contest that starts Monday from CUNA and sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group.
The contest is open to CUNA members below $100 million in assets, and participants can earn entries into the drawings for the scholarships--which include airfare, lodging up to four nights, registration and incidentals--by participating in the CUNA Small Credit Union Community, an online networking and small credit union resource platform.

The contest starts Monday and will run through Jan. 19, 2018. Winners will be drawn and announced on the Community on Jan. 29, 2018.
“The contest helps us strengthen our connection to small credit unions,” said Tom Sakash, CUNA small credit union advisor. “First, it generates engagement with the Community--a free member resource that easily allows small credit unions to network and share information and strategies without ever leaving their offices. And second, it brings more small credit union voices to GAC.”
Winners will also be recognized at the CUNA Small Credit Union Roundtable at GAC, set for 1 to 3:30 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The roundtable is also sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group.
