Credit unions were well represented at this year’s Financial Literacy Hill Day Thursday, as CUNA and the National Credit Union Foundation manned a booth at the Hart Senate Office Building during the day’s event.

An exhibit hall was set up in the building, and credit unions were joined by regulators, including NCUA and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, other financial institutions and other federal agencies.

Those who stopped by could learn about credit unions as well as the Foundation’s mission, and take materials on financial education, the credit union difference and even DVD episodes of the Foundation’s BizKid$, whose recent season six was nominated for an Emmy.

Reps. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) and Steve Stivers, House co-sponsors of the event, were onsite during the exhibit, and Beatty stopped by the credit union booth.
