Tinker Federal Credit Union reports that its Moore, Okla., branch has been destroyed, but staff there are safe.
According to the Oklahoma City credit union’s website, “TFCU employees, following established safety procedures, were safe in the branch’s vault during the storm. All branch employees were released unharmed from the vault with the assistance of first responders.”
The $2.9 billion asset credit union released this statement via Twitter:
Fortunately, the employees of our Moore branch survived yesterday's tornado in the safety of the vault. Sadly, the branch itself is lost.

Branch management has confirmed that all personal safe deposit boxes are secure.
Tinker Federal’s the Northeast Oklahoma City location is also closed until power can be restored. All other branch facilities are open.
