KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (3/13/15)--The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation (CCUF) and Victory Junction launched a new program to help seriously ill children in North and South Carolina hospitals.
Through REACH, credit union employees go to hospitals to help run camp days--complete with arts and crafts, suction-cup archery lanes and fake campfires.
They also will bring the activities to regional Ronald McDonald Houses.
"REACH is the credit unions of North and South Carolina taking not only their material resources but their human resources, putting them on the ground and reaching into these communities in ways they haven't done before," said John McGrail, CCUF president/CEO.
REACH is the latest partnership between CCUF and Victory Junction and is designed to expand outreach programs for children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses and their families.
For more than a decade, credit unions in North and South Carolina have supported Victory Junction as their social responsibility project, including funding cabins at the Victory Junction Gang Camp, Randleman, N.C.
