WASHINGTON (10/14/14)--The U.S. Treasury's Community Development Institutions (CDFI) Fund is seeking comments on the CDFI certification application document. According to the Treasury, this is being done to fulfill requirements set forth in the Paperwork Reduction Act.
As of Aug. 31, credit unions make up 224 of the 897 certified CDFIs. A financial institution seeking to become a certified CDFI and qualify to access assistance from the CDFI Fund must complete the CDFI certification application.
