MADISON, Wis. (1/14/15)--The CUNA Business Lending Certification Institute will take place July 20-24 in Madison, Wis., the Credit Union National Association announced.
"CUNA Business Lending Certification Institute is the leading training event for credit union business lenders," says Kathy Smith, CUNA instructional design manager. "Institute attendees spend a week immersed in credit union-specific training, preparing them to meet the lending needs of their members and their credit unions."
Presented in partnership with University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, this institute brings in business lending experts to lead sessions, network, review case studies and address real life business scenarios. At the end of the institute, lenders will be equipped to stimulate their communities by making loans to up-and-coming local businesses.
CUNA Business Lending Certification Institute is offered in three parts:
Attendees who complete all three years of the institute can earn their Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CUBLP) designation. To earn the designation, attendees must attend all three years of the institute and pass an exam at the end of each year.
All three parts of the institute are offered each year, and all three parts can be attended in any order; however to receive designation students must pass an exam at the end of each part.
Attendees can come early and attend the Introduction to the Credit Analysis Process pre-conference event.
