MADISON, Wis. (3/16/15)--CUNA Strategic Services will host a new educational program this summer to help prospective vendors get a foothold in the credit union marketplace.
Called CUNA CORE, the program will be held in Madison, Wis.
"CUNA CORE is the only centralized educational program for vendors in the credit union industry," said Julie Esser, vice president of alliance development, CUNA Strategic Services. "Understanding the credit union movement can be a daunting task, and CUNA CORE will change that."
The credit union industry presents a unique culture, and CUNA CORE will help attendees flatten the learning curve by illustrating the credit union movement's core values.
Attendees can expect to:
Attendees also will have the opportunity to tour CUNA's campus and ask credit union leaders about market needs.
"There is certainly a void of resources to help those firms that service credit unions," said Steve Swanston, executive vice president of CU People, a CUNA Strategic Services strategic alliance provider. "As credit unions are dependent upon vendors in every aspect of their operations, the greater the pool of vendors, and the more educated they are, the greater the competitive options and overall benefit will be to the credit union industry."
