ALEXANDRIA, Va. (3/24/15)--Edward Dorris has been named chief information officer (CIO) for the National Credit Union Administration, the agency announced Monday.
NCUA Chair Debbie Matz said that Dorris will begin his duties effective immediately.
"The chief information officer plays a critical role in any modern organization, and [Dorris'] 25 years of experience across the information technology field, coupled with his impressive list of accomplishments, makes him a very good fit for the agency," Matz said in a statement.
Prior to joining the NCUA, Dorris served as CIO at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He has held positions in information technology relating to regulation, finance and human resources at the U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security.
