NEW YORK (12/5/14)--An industry-driven cybersecurity threat sharing platform has been released by the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. (DTCC). The joint venture is called Soltra, and the platform itself is called Soltra Edge.
First announced in September, Soltra Edge is designed to "facilitate the collection of cyberthreat intelligence from various sources, convert it into an industry standard language and provide timely information on which users can decide to take action to better protect their company," according to a release from DTCC.
Bill Nelson, president of Soltra and president/CEO of FS-ISAC, said while the platform leverages cybersecurity expertise from the financial services sector, he expects it to be used by other sectors, including health care and transportation.
The currently available version of software now includes capabilities to import structured and unstructured threat information, standardize and organize that threat information and instantly route that uniform threat intelligence to devices and analysts.
According to Soltra, adapters are also being developed to integrate with many commonly used cybersecurity tools and solutions.
