ALEXANDRIA, Va. (11/5/14)--A new resource to help small credit unions research vendors and servicing providers has been launched by the National Credit Union Administration. The agency announced Tuesday that Credit Union Service Providers (CUSP) will allow credit unions to access information about registered vendors at no charge.
The portal was announced last month by the NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives as a way for small credit unions to research service providers and general cost-efficient leads for delivering member services. The portal does not offer reviews or endorsements.
"Credit unions are often looking for companies to provide products and services to help them meet members' needs, comply with regulations or just handle day-to-day operational requirements," said William Myers, director of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives. "NCUA's new program can help them find the right supplier."
Vendors can register through the federal government's System for Award Management database, and once its information is validated, the information will be available to credit unions.
