HARRISBURG, Pa. (10/8/14)--The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA) testified on the importance of personal finance in public schools during a Monday hearing in front of the Pennsylvania House Education Committee.

Mike Wishnow, PCUA senior vice president of communications and public relations, was on a panel with Robert Jazwinski, president, JFS Wealth Advisors, and Paul Kappel, president, Junior Achievement of the Delaware Valley (Life is a Highway Oct. 7).
State Rep. Mark Longietti (D-Mercer), a member of the Pennsylvania House Commerce Committee, thanked participants for the role they play in providing financial education.
"Each of you have made a difference and I've seen it in my district," Longietti said. "We have strong partnerships in the community as we travel down this road towards financial education."
Speakers shared personal experiences, programs and the value of implementing financial education programs into Pennsylvania's school districts.
