BISMARCK, N.D. (4/29/15)--Six credit union leagues representing nine states nationwide have joined CU Social Good, a web platform developed by the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) that shares stories about the positive contributions credit unions are making in their communities.
The leagues include the:
Montana Credit Union Network;
Tennessee Credit Union League;
Kentucky Credit Union League;
New Jersey Credit Union League
Cooperative Credit Union Association (Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island) and;
CUAD (North Dakota and South Dakota).
With a revamped and expanded platform in 2014, credit unions can now include story data that represents the financial impact as well as the number of hours donated to their cause (Memo April 27.) The customized social impact report is available by subscription for individual credit unions. In addition, statewide reports will be provided to states that have enrolled in CU Social Good.
"CU Social Good is an extremely easy and effective tool for credit unions to not only share a snapshot of their community involvement, but also to promote the overall effect credit unions are having in their state and on the national level," said Corey Prince, CUAD vice president of innovation and relationships. "To date, nearly 3,000 stories of credit unions making a difference have already been posted on CU Social Good."
