WASHINGTON (9/9/14)--Today the House Homeland Security Committee's subcommittee on cybersecurity, infrastructure protection and security technologies will host a hearing titled "Strategy and Mission of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate," starting at 10 a.m. (ET).
Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-Pa.), chair of the subcommittee, and Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.), chair of the Committee on Science, Space and Technology's research and technology subcommittee, will present opening remarks.

On Wednesday, starting at 2 p.m. (ET), the House subcommittee on financial institutions and consumer credit will hold a hearing titled "An Overview of the Credit Reporting System."
The purpose of the hearing is to provide a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the consumer reporting agencies, as well as the users and furnishers of consumer credit data.
