The Cornerstone Credit Union League unveiled a multi-state awareness campaign Tuesday that aims to bring new members into the movement by communicating the benefits of credit union membership. The league and CUNA have committed to working collaboratively as both of their awareness initiatives progress.
The CUNA Creating Awareness Advisory Group will provide an overview of its work to identify ways to raise awareness of CU movement Tuesday. The chair of the group will present an overview of the group’s work.
Over the next several months, TV airwaves in New Hampshire will carry a duo of new credit union ads. The TV spots were funded by New Hampshire Credit Unions and the Cooperative Credit Union Association.
Once the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s new customer due diligence rule becomes effective May 11, 2018, credit unions will be required to identify and verify the beneficial owners of business-type accounts.
The 2017 CUNA GAC kicks off Feb. 26, registration starts Sunday and leads into that evening’s ED (Filene) Talk, and continues Monday with the kickoff of the general session and a number of breakout sessions.
