MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON, D.C. (9/22/2017) – Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has released a brand-new version of its CUNA Peer Profile Report, a free resource for CUNA members that allows credit unions to compare their recent performance data with that of their closest peers in the industry.

The 10-page report, a benefit of CUNA membership, now features June 2017 NCUA Call Report data.

“We have long prided ourselves on providing our member credit unions with the information and data they need to stay competitive in the marketplace, and at no cost to them,” said Mike Schenk, CUNA vice president, research and policy analysis. “With the Peer Profile Report, credit unions can gain a clear understanding of how well they have performed compared with up to six credit unions of their choosing, or with other like-sized credit unions. It’s a true litmus test of their work.”

CUNA customizes the Peer Profile Report for each of its member credit unions, providing financial performance data on savings and loan growth, interest margins, overhead, asset quality, interest rate risk and more.

The report also includes state and national data to provide even more context related to a credit union’s recent performance.

“In addition to the data, the report includes simple, effective graphics illustrating results and trends in the industry, making this tool perfect for board presentations and strategic planning sessions,” Schenk said.
