NLRB Notice On Hold

The notice is similar to the one already required by the Labor Department for federal contractors.

July 1, 2012
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily enjoined the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) rule requiring the posting of employee rights, scheduled to take effect on April 30, 2012.

Under the rule, most private-sector employers (including credit unions) would be required to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act by posting a notice in the workplace. The notice is similar to the one already required by the Labor Department for federal contractors.

The NLRB rule won’t take effect until the legal issues are resolved. Visit nlrb.gov and cuna.org for more information.
